Does this thread confirm my suspicion that Wifi on my X51v is just a toy?
The range seems very pathatic to be of any use, it seems.

Also, does anyone here use the canned software Odessy (sp?) for configuring
Wifi and signal strength finding? I keep getting errors from this S/W when
I wake up my device.

What are you talking about? This thing has better range than any other Wi-Fi device I've ever used. It picks up APs hundreds of feet farther away than both of the laptops I've used.

I blow all other devieces in school speaking of WiFi signal /huh and everything else except screen size /hp 4700/ speaking of PDAs/. We have 5 AP in various spots in the building and I can catch the signal from the other side of the schoolyard. The only more powerfull device I has ever seen was my previous Axim X30Mid. When I had it we didn't had the upgrade from Cisco Systems to the school labs and networks and there was only one WiFi router at the third floor. On the first floor I still had signal, while a few PSPs, laptops and other PDAs couldn't find a network.

But if WiFi range could be extended that would be great!
