There was no memory issue. I'm not really sure why w3iner answered me like that. I had a noobie question and got an off the wall response. In that particular post I asked how to get rid of the "new" button at the bottom of the screen. I know it was NOT a memory issue so I just disregarded his comment.
Installed it this morning. I really doesn't show anything unusual. Just all of the stuff I know is there. I don't see anywhere that it might show me total amount of memory - like a status bar. Maybe it doesn't have such a feature.
Thanks for the advice...
I'll just keep searching
Just keep searching
Just keep searching searching searching
What do we do we search, search, search
OH HO HO How I love to search
When you WAAAAAANNTTT to search you want to search.
(Man, I need to get out away from my children for a bit)
I have Resco File Explorer and Sprite Space Detective, both of which will show a total. The file utility that comes with WM does not seem to have this basic function. Perhaps the PDA could be explored from the PC while cradled and the file manger on the PC would show this?

maybe its jus how it was formatted cuz on my x51v its supposed to have 256mb of storage but then when I go look at the memory it says total:192.62mb so maybe its jus the formatting.
Ok, I downloaded Resco's File Explorer and it says the same thing as the ppc. BIS has 30.64 MB total space.
I do have the option to reformat...should I? I could certainly reinstall the few things that I have on there.
- vBar
- x50 Mix
- Pocketbible
- Freecell
- Pocketsudoku
Also, is it possible to have bad sectors like on a desktop hard drive?
Eric, I guess it is possible but it is over half of the total memory that is gone. Also, I am pretty sure it was correct before.
I'm late to this discussion. I am assuming that you are saying that you have a total 30 mb then it goes on to tell you what you have used, ie 24 MB or something?
Has this device been hard reset before? when you hard reset, the programs that were loaded in BIS are not erased. They become unusable beause the markers to them in the registry have been erased. If you use file explore you will see these extra files. Maybe these extra files have become hidden. Perhaps the 30 is what is free.
