True VGA package for x51v A12 EN

I'd like to point out that the Icon-missing problem also occurs in the X50v with WM05 (though by the time anyone reads this, I wont be able to check anything since my X51v will probably be here in <12 hours) I'm missing my Wireless icon (though I can tap the area and still get access) and the volume applet is GONE (no taps anywhere will activate it! I have to switch to qvga mode to change my system volume!) I'm not going to try installing this on my X50v since it's gonna be on it's way back to the factory soon, but I installed MvTrueVGA(sp?) and I still get the above problem. (though it might have to do with the software I've installed; but I cant imagine MAgic Button causing this, and it's all that changes the statusbar/taskbar/whatever-its-alled-in-WM05)

(for example, there's no backup battery in the x51v)

...There isnt?!?!? I thought there was...? I know the X50v has one, I've seen it on diagrams (but not seen internals of X51v so I dont know...) Though logically speaking, I guess there's no real need for it with the memory management WM05 uses.

If you installed all the cabs in the order you listed them you should have had no problem. The only other thing I can think of is if you have a non English ROM installed on your device, if you do some icons may not be visible.

You can also try installing the following package and see if it helps at all.

To remove from the PPC, just go to Start > Settings > System > Remove Programs.

If you want to change back to the QVGA just run the VGAToggle app found in Start > Programs.

I second the problem somone else is having, does anyone have a file to fix the software keyboard? It' sjsut a big hole in the screen, completely unuseable, and it's crashing some of my programs...

After testing both ozVGA and MvRTrueVGA, a word of caution -- DO NOT open iGuidance North America v3.0.01 in "True VGA" mode. You will receive the following error message when you try to open the app (either in True VGA or reopen in SEvga! mode):

The file 'iGuidanceVGA' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. You might need to reinstall or restore this file.

In a nutshell, iGuidance will no longer run and you will need to reinstall the application on your Axim X51v. I assume something in the SdkCerts.cab file is messing the registry up.

Any similar experiences? Fixes?

i have Axim x51v - i install CAB's from first page and make changes to trueVGA - and now i want chenge my background image - when i chouse another Theme - they are centered - NOT STRETCHED ... i was try DELL theme and another ...
and 1 more question - why when i try use just image as background - thay lock like through WHITE glass (like with high brightness)
May be someone know how solve this problem?

This problem you can solve by choosing the Pictures & Videos viewer, choose the picture you want, choose Menu, Set as Today Background and then you have the possibility to set a Transparency Level (0% is a "normal" picture)

No, it is included with your original programs... it's very straightforward works very well... I had the same problem a while ago... :)

The package is also valid on WM5 A02 x50v.

But then you need the x50v trueVGA applets from this cab.

Okay, ConFEWscious is a bit confused! I'm a bit puzzled at the process. I take the SKCerts.cab and install them. Now there's two different downloads; ozVGA_x51v_A12EN.cab and MakeusRealVGA.cab. Which one do I install, and what exactly is TrueVGA Applet, what exactly does it do? Also, some programs that ARE VGA enabled games/apps do not always work on my Axim. A black screen appears and music/sounds can be heard. Would anyone have a small clue to what it is?

i put it in windows\startup but im getting error that its not handled by a program.

what am i doing wrong?

right now i have the old solution where there are 2 links to brightness\power etc

I have an A01 624mhz. Will this upgrade work, or will I have to get another one, like A06 first? I am new to really getting involved with my axim, but the true VGA upgrade seems pretty cool.
