True VGA package for x51v A12 EN

As many of you already noticed the former trueVGA dll are no longer 100% compatible with an x51v A12 EN (aku 2.3.1), some icons are missing.

Because I could not find it anywhere I managed to get it by myself. Here they are if you are interested compiled in one cab together with ozVGA.

ozVGA was delelopped by Oleg Zakharov, I hope he would not mind that I put it in this package.

If there is a problem I will remove it from the cab. But like this it's much easier to install.

I successfully tested it on my A12 EN x51v, installed from VGA standard mode. SdkCerts.cab must be installed or the signed dll won't load.

Warning: if you are using this package, the applet will be mangled in VGA standard mode

Update: use this script for mortscript (put it under \windows\startup to properly handle applet in both VGA mode

That's why I build this other package for a work around, soft reset after installing it and it will add new link to access the default applet (update: not needed anymore if you are using the script):

Again it's for A12 EN and not early A06 EN rom. You can also use it for rom in other language but only if they are on WM5 aku 2.3.1. but then you will need to get the early trueVGA dll for keyboard and transcriber in your language.

The truevga DLL are also valid for the x50v under WM5 A02 (because it's also using WM5 Aku 2.3.1).

But then you need the x50v trueVGA applets from this cab.

Trick:
You can use your own welcomehead.96.png and customize it to change the image that will load while booting (after soft reset). Change it when you are in VGA standard.
You cannot change welcomehead.192.png because it's in ROM.

what is the point of this utility?:) defalut x51v works on non vga mode? What is the difference from default-factory out axim from modified like this and are here the rollback to prievious mode feature?

You need to reconstitute the three files into one cab file and then transfer and run it on your pda after you run sdkcerts. You can do this from anywhere on your pda.

Since it is OzVGA based you can easily switch between the standard and true vga mode though it does require a soft reset. The main problem you will find is that some software just wont display properly in true vga mode.

If you don't understand what true vga is read some of the informative threads about it.

This thing pretty much just changes your resolution. Just like in Windows XP or something. But it only works best with VGA capable applications.

Does it make your screen smaller???? No...... It makes your "work area" bigger.

I never tried MarkVan toggle app. I am used to ozVGA because it's really powerfull in handling different configuration in both VGA mode.
You can install this package and still use MarkVan tool. MarkVan's package contains dll that are not 100% compatible with A12 EN. This package is 100% compatible with A12 EN.
