Creating a Image Clone of a Pocket PC

Hey everyone,

I have just created a Image Clone of my Pocket PC using SPB Clone but when I went to apply that Image to another Identical Pocket PC, the WiFi SSID and Key did not apply. Anyone know any reg edit or something so the SSID and Key get saved on the Master Image. I have to Clone 450 Pocket PC's and I dont want to type in the SSID and Key on each one. I personally own a x50v so i thought I would ask you guys but my company purchased 450 ipaq rx1950's which all have to have Identical settings.

i dont know about reg edit but the speediest way i could think of to clone massive amounts of ppcs would be to back one up intirly and then maualy go in and try and find the wifi configuration file then load that and the clone on to an sd card then make a small app that reloads the config file then just pop the sd card in do what ever to clone the pp then launch the program.

The wifi profiles are in the regestry under the mac address. Since that one is different on each pda you can't copy them with regular tools.

Yes if I cant find another way I think im gonna go crazy..

??? Does anyone know how to enable the paste option when entering the WEP key???

Currently I can paste the SSID but not the WEP key which is long as hell (26 characters) is there a reg edit that will allow me to paste in the WEP Key?

How about installing pocket controller on the master, so each one you clone will have it installed. This will allow you to control the ppc with your comptuer (pasting should work like this). If not, you can find one of those automated pc script programs that let you make "macro"'s that will click and type stuff int eh exact same spot each time you click on a shortcut. You would just have to enter the information in once while recording a macro and then play it back each time you dock a new pda. Im pretty sure the pocket controller thing will work though.

It's possible to write a new 'rom' wit settings enabled. I do it for several symbol pda's so there must be a tool for the axim's.
An other option is to look at mcontrol. I'm using that for our offsite management teams, works great for gprs profile's, probably wifi will work to.
