transferring data to SD card in ppc, problem

Hi

This is something that is really starting to get on my nerves. Each time im trying to transfer some data to my SD card in my x51 the transfer will stop for some reason. It happens when im transferring big files (such as movies or tomtom maps) or alot of files such as music. Right now im trying to transfer scandinavian plus map for tt5. But the transfer just stops. It doesnt matter if im trying to transfer from the tt5 application or directly from windows copy function. I have even tried packing the map files to a .rar file but with the same result.

Can anyone please help this is a bit urgent:exc:

Oh and btw, it dont think its the SD card, it happens will all 7 of them.

Thanks in advance.

Are you using a card reader? Activesync is very poor at transferring large files.

No im not using a card reason, i forgot it a parents house last i were there 2 months ago. Im aware that the problem will most likely not be there if i was using one, but it should be possible to do it anyway.

If i first .rar the map files, then split the file into 10MB peices. Do you know if pocketrar is able to put them back together or is that only the desktop version?

Why do you split it up into 10MB pieces? ActiveSync is incredibly slow at creating files, so you want to transfer less, bigger files through it.

Read the topic again. I CANT transfers big files (20MB+ it seems). I can transfer smaller files if i do it one by one.

edit: i cant split the files either it seems. pocketrar cannot rejoin them. Great.

Why all the trouble ?
Buy another cardreader or go see your parents again - it's about time :p
