Can Switcher Bar be automatically on?

I do like to keep my running apps down to those I need. I use Switcher Bar to do this. However it is a pain to have to keep navigating to it to switch it on. Is there any way to have it always be activated?

Try vBar. Its Freeware, does the same thing as Switcher Bar & is always activated. www.vieka.com

Just make a shortcut to switcher bar and copy it into the windows/startup folder

But vbar conflicts with activesync. Copy 'switcher bar.lnk' to the windows/startup

I've been using vBar for a couple of months and I haven't had a problem with it and ActiveSynch at all.. I'd like to know what it does too.

I'd like to know that too before I download it (Switcher Bar is a pain in the butt, the way it keeps dropping the running programs, sometimes...)

Have installed vbar and have not noticed any clash with activesync.

Why not "Magic Button for PPC"?
Check www.trancreative.com.
It is free.

The only thing I know that vBar clashes with is WLAN settings. It won't let you press the OK button when you are done (and that's only on the "Settings", not the Normal WLAN screen). But that's an easy enough fix, just turn it off if you are going to change how your connection acts, you don't change that much anyway.

Both Vbar and Magicbutton can have conflicts with wlan utility, especially with the settings page. magic button is doing better with activesync, than vbar right now, so that is the ab that I have loaded. I also like the access to the programs in the top bar. Both are good and offer you more options than the native switcher program imho.

switcher bar caused crashes and hangs with all kinds of software up to A06...
I haven't used it since (I use magic button) so don't know if it got fixed in A12,

That said - I've used MB for almost a year and had very little problems with it.
In fact it's behaving better since DELL fixed the rom (A12) ... guess they fixed the
bug without an update to MB :{o

The only thing I don't like about Magic Button is the fact that it puts icons on the top bar. I like to be able to see what program I'm running. Is there a way to disable that feature?

vbar & activsync

I couldn't close active sync or even minimise it after i'd loaded vbar.
I recommend SBS Plus anyway - far better. I assign close, minimise and switch (alt-tab) to three of my hardware buttons. Works great.
I own a copy now but had a cracked copy for a few months so you should be able to use your initiative if you wanna try b4-u-buy.
