Wi-Fi status doesn't backup!

I need the wireless to be on following a hard-reset and restore.

I haven't so far been able to achieve this. This is the first Dell Axim model I've played with which doesn't seem to do this (the X3 and X30 both did).

Anyone else had this problem (I know it's a slightly odd thing to want to do).

The alternative is a bodge of copying stuff to and from the startup directory.

The build-in backup tool saves the wifi setting (but only on the same device).. ?

It saves the settings; IP address, WEP key etc.
I don't think it saves the 'state' though.

What I want to do is a backup when the wireless is on. I want the wireless to be on following a hard-reset and restore (without having to turn the wireless on manually).
