Another noob question

Howdy, first post here...just received my X51v today.

I have two small issues which I cannot seem to figure out.

Firstly, I have been trying to change themes for about 45mins. When I select the new theme and hit"OK", the funky hourglass comes up and it seems to be processing, however when I go back to my today page nothing has changed. Ive tried all of the defaults and a few that I've downloaded, all with no luck. Am i missing something?

Secondly, how do I expand the calandar on my today screen. It only shows one appointment, even if I remove all of the other items. Again, have I simply overlooked a step?

I'm fairly new here, too. You'll find many welcoming vets here who can help you. I don't know what is causing your first problem, but someone will be along to help with that.

I did experience the same dissatisfaction with the today screen listing of events. I didn't find a way to change it using the default software, but I've used a couple of programs recommended here. First I tried some free today-screen calendar improvemenents that I found using this wonderful listing:

Then, using Gigi's guide posted in the tutorials section, I sampled some other today screen plug-ins, and am currently delighted with Pocket Breeze; Amit Regev regularly responds to users here with codes offering a generous discount.

With a little exploration, you'll likely find just the right thing to make your Axim most useful. Enjoy

WOW, 4 hard resets. Way to stay with it until the problem was resolved

I remember havin that theme problem before it happened when I tried to use a custom pic as wallpaper.

I’ve lost count of the total number of soft resets and versions of activesync I’ve messed with in the last three days in an attempt go get fully functional. Seems like software hasn’t been refined much since my last hand held device 4-5 years ago.

that doesn't sound good. maybe post a specific problem or question in the active sync thread and some good folks here can help. a new x51v can have a little work to get it running, but it shouldn't be like that.
