Is there a way to stop the orange battery light from flashing?

Hi, I was wonder if anyone knew how to disable the low battery notification via the power button flashing orange. I want to disable this mainly because its distracting when your using the pda and also it attracts alot of attention in the subway, sometimes I cover the button with my thumb when its flashing.

So if any one knows of a hack or of an app that can disable that feature I'd appreciate it. TIA.

someone has to say it, so i might as well. i'd suggest just not ever getting your battery that low :P. the battery on an axim is lithium, and if it regularly goes below 30% [when you start seeing low battery warnings etc] it will eventually kill the battery. for this reason i'm all for people getting annoyed by a low battery, in the end it might just save them from a costly battery replacement.

I run my batteries down to 0 % almost every day and have done that for about two years by now - no problems.
The WM2003(se) is designed so that at 0% there is still 72 hours left at power off - info: M$ design team

On an X50 I can see that when it is saying 0% you still have plenty of life in the battery left to keep the memory and your data alive and so you don't need to think as much about running the battery down. On the X51 though we don't have this "feature" and so Kamels advice is much more important, lithium batteries shouldn't be mistreated.

I agree with Zaniax. I never heard Lithium battery cannot get lower than 30%. In fact, I have heard that lithium battery should be drained once a while to keep it healthy.

I have modified the registry few days ago as suggested by DoDoubleGee. It works very well. But for x51v, the Axim will shut down while it gets down to 5%, and it gives you only 10 second count down warning!! I hope there is a way NOT to disable the warning altogether, but allow me to set it to display it only at 7-8%.

Uh, how about black electrical tape? :) I got so fed up with the blinking bluetooth light that I used a small sliver of black tape to cover it up. Problem solved!

I just noted that GL4DI4TOR got a x50v with wm2003se -
He was asking for a hack and my answer was aimed at him, so it's still valid - I think :p
