Anti-virus

now that my wifi is working, i am wondering about anti-virus. i think i read there has only been one virus ever written for ppc.

does everyone use AV, or go without?
what do you use?
any freeware out there?

I wouldn't worry about using A/V software. A hard reset would take care of it. Just make sure you do periodic backups of your device from time to time and you should be fine.

yeah, there was only one ever written and it never really tookoff, i wouldnt worry.

No PPC viruses in the wild. Two have been written, as proofs of concept. Best to wait and see. If somebody does actually start producing PPC viruses and you perceive an actual risk, buying protection at that time makes more sense; your update subscription doesn't start until then.
