Problem when having both SD and CF card inserted

Hi, trying to use TomTom Navigator 5 on an Axim X50v. There is no problem when I only use an SD card or only use a CF card. When my PDA have both an SD card and an CF card inserted, TomTom will not find the CF card (where the TomTom maps are located). Ejecting both cards, soft rebooting and inserting the CF card then the SD card works, but at the next soft boot the problem is back. This leads me to the conclusion that there is a search order or priority of the two cards (and the SD card is now prioritized). My question is therefore, how can I force the CF card to be "master"?

I run TTN5 with both CF and SD cards inserted all the time without problems and my X50V using WM2003SE.

I have the application installed in device memory and the maps, voices and postcode files on the SD card. I have a feeling that there is a parameter file within TTN5 which tells it where the maps etc are.

Sorry I can't really help but it is clearly not a generic fault.

Thank you for your reply. I don't consider it a fault, it is merely a setting I can't find. I know some navigation software require to be on the "first" memory card, but I dont know where to change the order of the cards. I suspect a little digging in the registry could reveal the solution, but I don't know where to start...

There is indeed a file telling TomTom which map was used latest, but TomTom "should" search all memory cards for other maps. In my case it only searces the first card (SD). What happens with your TomTom if you move one map (not the one you are using) from the SD card to the CF card. Go into "Switch maps" in TomTom. Will TomTom find the map on the CF card?

Maybe it is time for a hard reset and start from scratch...

Look inside the folders. Tomtom often use index files, delete those and tomtom wol look again in those folders (in stead of skipping them).
