Having fun with SOTI and Novii Remote control

Just had some fun, I placed my Dell axim strategically in the room in line with our sky box and tv, I also have one of those transmmitter things that allows you to transmit TV signals to another TV or in my case the PC (via video input).

Saturday is not a day I can usually prise the remote out of my wifes hand but using combination of Novii remote control and SOTI via wireless. I now control the TV and sky box from my PC.

Star wars is now being watched on the PC, my wife keeps swapping the channel and I keep switching it back, I hoping she might give up and go upstairs and watch a dvd.

There are rumblings from the room, she has changed the remote batteries now much to my amusement.

Im sure to be discovered soon. i think I will let her have control and use this when I really want control.

On a serious note though it does work well and allows me to control any IR equipment in my house remotely.

I recommend both SOTI and Novii Remote control to anyone, using them together can be amusing and fun!

Haha, just make sure your wife doesn't frequent these forums :D.

Ha - I need to work out a similar little routine for the thermostat at my place. My wife is always cold, I'm always hot ...

Is there a second delay or so when you press the button for the channel to change? I have pdawin.com 5.74 on my x51v running wm5 and it seems kinda slow. I mean it is all in memory... Oh well.
