Wireless internet trick! (BT)

ok, I dont know how many other people have this problem, but any time I try to use the "lan access point" I get no connection to the internet. when I try to use the "internet via pc" option, it tries to initiate a dialup connection! (which always fails)

I finally found a solution

start an activesync session over bluetooth, let it finish it's routine to free up some memory, but STAY CONNECTED TO AC, now, make sure on your PC, activesync is set up for "internet passthrough" (this was acctually set up to allow avantgo and such to download websites while in the cradle).

Bingo! as long as you're connected to AC via BT, you have internet! (take note that this is better than WiFi because BT uses less than HALF of WiFi's power! but also remember it's got a much shorter range)

oh and if you cant connect to AS, go into your PC's BT manager, see what port Virtual Com Port is using (mine was COM7) then go into AS's "connection settings" and make sure "Acept connections on" has that port checked. Otherwise you wont connect (took me many hours to figure this out, hopefully it'll save some other BT newbies that time)
