Left my X51 on the cradle charging earlier while turned on...

And I came back to a completely white, blank screen. What happened? I hit the power button to wake it up, nothing. Tapped the screen, nothing. Held down the power button to shut it off, nothing. I had to remove the battery in order to get the thing to respond.

It only happened one time. But is it more ideal to have your PDA off while charging? Is this a common thing to happen if you let it on?

Time to introduce to you the ActiveSync Fake server trick. If youre using A12 some would say it's not necessary, but some did it just to be on the safe side. Since you're suffering from the symptoms found in that thread, here it is. http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=112638

Oh, okay. But I use Linux 99% of the time, I only use Windoze for gaming and for the activesync. So I guess in Linux I can let this sucker plugged in and I shouldn't have any issues? If so I won't even bother with the mod.

-Yes, I was in Windoze earlier when this problem happened.

By the way, do you folks plug your axim chargers into a surge protector? I think I should get in the habit of it, and run my cell charger, axim charger, and my 2 alarm clocks (with 2 alarm modes on each + cell alarm = total of 5 alarms... I'm a deep sleeper) all off of a surge protector.

Figured I'd ask.
