Help! vbar wont change colors on my x51v!!

Hi All. read all the posts I could find about this and saw nothing like this...

I am using vbar 2.2 on my aximx51v (WM5), and I cant change colors of my vbar. No matter what i do it stays a light blue color. I even manually pick a different color (in settings "show background color"), but doesnt change.

I tried soft resetting, and even got so tired of trying and thinking something was corrupted that I just did a hard reset, and reinstalled everything.

Still cant get color to change. Other posts I saw about vbar and color only had to do with people switching themes and having to manually pick out the matching color. (someone wrote a tool tool to do this for them). I even tried that, but mine still just stays light blue... Helpp!! Anyone else this happens to?

This also is happening to me. If anyone has a fix let us know!

WM5 changed the way it stores and uses color information. You have to change your theme colors using another piece of software. Even then, the x box will not change color unless you edit the .bmps. the options then allow you to use the new graphic files.

I used themeGenCE for the theme changes - there is a recent update. Also there is uiTweaker - both free programs.

Check out mypda to see the results. (the theme is much brighter on the axim than in the photo, but it is running vbar with these changes. Good luck.

With all the gradient lines and stuff in the WM5 top bar, I was unable to add universal support for themes beyond the default one. The solution is to skin vbar with your own image that you've created from a screen shot of your theme when you're not running vbar.

There might be some future hope of vbar just doing things transparently, but I'm not sure.
