forcing compaction?

stumbled upon this post on another site:

"Most of the time the WM5 device starts compacting right after I start using it (how stupid!)
Is it possible to set it to start when I want it? eg. by clicking on the command 'Start compacting now' within Tweak2k2.

This way I can let the device compact whenever it is on AC power and I won't have to use it for some time."

is this possible?

Nope, not possible, as has also been pointed out in my all-in-one article on all these subjects at http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=130456
