I know i´m N°. 5.798.258, but i have to say, i´m impressed of your work. A really fine job.
I use a FuSie N 560 with WM 5. If i can help you with my registry, i will do it.
But you have to explain - step-by-step, how i can get my registry for you. Is it possible to read it complete? With the complete deep, is there something hidden?
I´m very interesseted to build/buy/get the Aximizer. May be it´s possible with the Loox N 560 and it´s USB- port?
Jürgen
Excuse my english, it´s not useable to write in english for me.

Hardware hack success probability is still very low, I do not want you to waist time.
But if you still want to start helping in software I have to say that N560 is one of best PDA for us because it uses PXA270 and WM5, and it is USB HOST ready.
I never did it before and I think people who work on BT stack could say something more precise, but this is what I think you can do:
Export whole Registry to a file. You can do that with Resco utility among others.
Search all files containing “usb” inside \Windows folder. Once again you can do that with Resco Explorer, among others. Do not forget to unhide any sort of files at your File Browser configuration.
Make a zip file and upload it.
This is just to start, once we see the Registry file we probably ask you for some other files.
Once again I am new in this. Maybe more experienced people can change or add something.

Hmmm, you are right. Why not to give them a try.
This does not compare with BT stack hack. That involved 3rd party software hacking, also there was a matter of licenses in between.
This is full legal and it does not seem to be a commercial interference for Dell, just the opposite.
Recently I did the same with Valentine One Radar Detector. This device can have a remote unit connected via serial port. I asked them for interface spec to write a program for PDA to act as remote unit. In a couple of days I got an answer from Mike Valentine (the boss) with full spec data :approve:
On the other hand, we know there are a lot of people from Dell at forum and no one say anything about that
To make a Dell Support question we must enter Service Tag number. I still have one month warranty left and I do not want do a question involving hacking during that period. I will do it in one month if any of you did not do it first :)
Hi, I guess im kinda new to this forum, ive been reading it sense i got my axim x51v, but i would like to know more details about your radar detector, Im wanting to wire up 6 detectors in the roof of my 300zx and try to make them detect a general area that the (police) radars are in, and maybe have the info placed as an overlay on a map working with active gps. Thank you and Great work, (saw it on engadet first :approve: )

Hello, welcome to the forum.
Please better use this thread I started some time ago: Connecting Valentine One radar detector to PDA
But I have to say there is no news about what you read. I am at the same point.
Some Spanish people ask me for the V1 spec to write the software, but still no news either.
I have 9 .dll-file found with ..usb.... But i can´t export it. I don´t know why. :-((
I think these .dll are ROM-dll. Have somebody a little help for me, how i can copy these dll.
I can export the registry, but i can´t see/read the file with my explorer.
I use Total commander and TRE-Reg-Editor. Have one of you a little info, with which tools it works.
BTW, a question to you afarre,
when you get a usb-port with the Ratoc CF USB HOST, is not possible for you to get the usb-signal at the CF-pins of the Dell-MoBo? Only a question from a amateur to a profi?

Please don't hijack this thread - hijacking is consider impolite.
Please start a new thread asking for help with your problem.:)

There are no usb signals at the CF connector, only CF signals which are a subset of PCMCIA.
We think there might be USB pins either at the sync connector or on a couple of test pads on the mobo. We won't know for sure until i get a mobo to pull apart.

Have you tried to get them entering PDA \Windows folder from your desktop?
If you got the *.reg file it should be an ASCII file. I you are nor sure just upload it.
About your question you already got the answer :approve:
i think that's definately the way to go to extract the files, go in through your PC...
simply activesync your device and on activesync's main dialog there's an "explore" button (or something simmilar)... and a directory in there that will lead to your device's root folder... from there, get into /windows/ and find your files.
isnt it a bit usless getting the reg and dll before its even known if the pins on the cpu can even be accessed and used?
just a thought.
i think thats what afarre was on about before. with the hardware aspect so bleak, he doesn't want everyone wasting all their time on finding and collecting the software...
i understand his point, but the software is really the only way anyone can help thus far. until someone goes out and buys a pooched X51 unit and tests the lines.
This sucks....
I was browsing around on the Classifieds and someone had an x50v for sale that only had a broken screen. He was selling it for 25... but alas... by the time I got to him he had already sold it. I'm still on the lookout for a broken one. I can either send it to bigbop, or unsolder it myself. The company I work for does alot of electronics (I'm a soldering tech). The only problem is we don't normally use the BGA boards, most of ours are simple surface mounts.
Anyways... I'm not even going to take a look at the software (more of a hardware man) until I get a board and rip that bugger apart... too bad I'll never find a deal like that one again :(:(

Actually, Adamabrown was generous enough to donate an X51v board for this and I am waiting to receive it from him. Hopefully, I'll get it this week.
AWESOME! finally! we can get moving on this whole thing...
i've got a random question though, if we connect the whole thing (find the pins after removing the CPU) and test them, and perchance, lets just say that dell has had the USB host circuits (root hub) wired onto the PCB already... will we still get a signal on the pins that are connected? will all the circuitry inbetween just give resistance, or will they need power to conduct the connection at all?
just a thought i had yesterday.... here's hoping that dell has wired them to the docking connector!! (so i don't have to open my PDA and void my 3yr warranty to make it work!! )
