Put Your Laptop away!!! Lots of Pics

Hey...I just wanted to share how I use my x50v in the place of a laptop...It does everything I need it to do when I'm away from home...

-This is how my Axim looks when it starts up...It's done through a virtual page on Wisbar Advance Desktop

-This is my "desktop"...

-yes...the bottom start button is functional(it opens the cascading start menu)...again through the magic of Wisbar Advance and Wisbar Advance Desktop...

-AIM 2.0...I use my PDA in true-VGA mode

-Coreplayer...I use either this or TCPMP to play all my media files...

-Textmaker 2006...It's still in Beta...and you can download the trial from their website...Must have for anyone who does word processing on their PDA

-Pocket SNES...i've also got Pocket GBA and PicoDrive(Genesis emulator)...along with many other PPC games (Including Quake)...

-Netfront 3.3 with the user agent set to IE 6.0...works like a charm

-Resco File Explorer...

-MY mobile "Media Center"...(using Mortbuttons)

-Resco Photo Viewer...

-Pocket Artist...great for editing photos too!

-my "Control Panel"...it's a part of Wisbar Advance

-That's a palmone universal IR keyboard...great for typing on your lap too...the batteries last like forever...i've been using it for like 4 months...and i havent had to change the batteries yet

-Who needs a laptop?...I can fit this in my pocket...

well anyway...that's just my way of not having to lug a laptop around everywhere...tell me what you think...

I can't see them either, but I closed my eyes and I imagined I saw a beautiful island. On that island was a tiny man in a white suit waving at me to come over. There was a mansion with beautiful women in it. The ladies were drinking fancy cocktails with little tiny wooden umbrellas in them. Yummy.

Yes...all that is done through wisbar advance and wisbar advance desktop....

Pic 1 is a virtual page on Wisbar Advance Desktop....all you have to do is set that "click on your user name..." picture as the wallpaper on that virtual page...and then set up a user name button which will go to the next virtual page (your "desktop" with all the icons and start menu on it) ...the "Turn of Computer" button just opens up Pshutxp...

Very nice. All those pics look great from my X51v. How much storage do you have on your Ax as a laptop replacement, 4GB SD + 8GB CF?

4GB SD+2GB CF...i plan on buying a 8gb CF as soon as the prices drop...but i've got plenty of free space right now anyway...most of my videos are done in h264...so each movie only takes about 300mb...then abt 150 mp3s...80 music videos(roughly 7mb each) ...TT navigator(takes a good 1.2 gig)....and all my games take less than 500mb...i've still got like 1.5 gigs free...

That is really impressive. I hardly ever use landscape on my x51v but if I could get it to look like yours I would.
I don't think I am smart enough to do it myself but if someone marketed it as a cab or exe I would be a customer.
Well done.
