I have checked all "possible supported" cameras specifications and all of them are reported to work with USB 1.1.
I found nothing about OEM models because I think they are part of Dell and Cisco products.

Here you have the links to all specifications and a pic for fast identification:

Logitech Quickcam Fusion

Logitech Quickcam Orbit MP

Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks

Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000

Logitech Quickcam Ultra Vision

Ratoc CF USB with webcams

I've been looking into this same problem and have noticed that the Ratoc CF/USB host adapter only provides 100mA. Most - maybe all - of the Logitech webcams that are USB Video Spec compatible take >100mA. This could be part of the problem. I connected my Logitech Ultravision to an IPAQ through a powered USB 1.1 hub and the Ratoc adapter and had no success. Works fine through the hub with my desktop however.

It seems very interesting, but requires a lot of time to go into it.
I will take my time on it.
Thank you.

I believe that is the point they were trying to make, it was not functional even if using a powered hub.

Icon13 M-s. V X 3000

I tested out a Microsoft VX 3000 webcam on an X51v using the methods listed...
Quote:
  1. Copy attached WebCam.dll file to PDA \windows directory.
  2. Connect Webcam to PDA.
  3. If you get a window asking for the driver just enter: WebCam
I received the dialog box asking for the device driver, where I entered
WebCam
but the dialog box immediately reappeared, asking the same question. Inputing anything else other than
WebCam
would result in the error message:
Quote:
Unidentified USB Device ok
Error installing USB driver
Using the same process, and connecting the webcam thru a powered USB hub, then the powered hub to the Ratoc USB host, provided the same results. :scratch_h

Does any one know whether you can connect up a reverse parking sensor to the axim x51v? this would have a video feed and display for distance from objects.

It usually connects to a rear view mirror with a lcd screen. the screen becomes active when the reverse gear is engaged.

thought i would like to use the axim instead.

regards

ps affare great work by the way

SD Camera Vs Webcam - Is this off topic?

First I would like to thank you guyz for this topic, approached it from the above angle SD Vs Webcam in the past because I would like to free up the CF slot for the Ratoc connected to a 2.5" Seagate HD portable battery powered Caddy. This means I'm looking for a SD Camera solution that supports WM5 os? Al my efforts have failed in the post so the Logitech® QuickCam® for Notebooks Pro may be the only camera still solution but I would prefer a SD solution for the reasons mentioned.

So if anyone can help me use a windows mobile 2003 / se SD Camera to run on WM5 OS I would be extremely grateful. Obviously I say windows 2003/se because that seems the last os to have add-on PDA camera manu'd for them. The Spectec 1.3 Mega Pixel SD Camera, LifeView FlyCAM SD Camera with Flash & Veo SD Camera seem to be favourite, anyone any thought on these models or the SD Camera Vs Webcam debate?

thankz optical10
