today screen & date/clock

just got my x51v, and i found that when i set the today screen to display the clock and date, it takes 2 LINES
back on my x50v, this took only 1 line....is this a glitch or can i 'fix' it?
using the x51v in normal vga mode, so need to save as much space as possible

I do not know the answer to your X51V vs X50V question, but I went with the free beta version of SBSH Clock running in compact mode instead of the standard Windows Mobile clock on my Today screen.

I disliked the same thing. Frenchy's hack showed me how to place the clock in the top bar, and I use Pocket Breeze to list the date within the display of appointments. That clears out the screen space a bit.

Mine (with the free beta SBSH Clock in compact mode) looks like this.

I just select the SBSH Clock rather than Date in the list of Today Plug-ins. You could, of course, select neither....

The hack from Frenchy places the time in the top bar, replacing the battery gauge on WM5. Your screen shot shows you've got another solution for placing it there. AKAJohnDoe's solutions seem to make good sense.

Remove the battery icon

AKA....I know how to replace the battery icon with the time, but how do you get rid of the battry icon so you don't have time or battery when on the today screen (like the pics on your web site)?

Thanks,

Rob

I used Tweaks2K2.net to change the text to the same color as the background. It is still there, just "invisible".
