Could anyone advise on how to add more fonts to my Axim.

I've been trying that but it doesn't seem to be working.
Any other ideas?

You should be able to load any .ttf font into \Windows\Fonts\ on your PPC. If you have done that and are not seeing them you might try a soft reset.

I am all against doing this -- you are putting fonts in your RAM, thus shrinking the usable size.

I suppose, but how many fonts does one really need on a PDA?

He's using an x51v. There will be no drastic decreases in available memory since everything is stored on internal memory. One of the few pluses of WM5.
What program are you trying to use these fonts in?
And
What happens when you try and copy the programs over? Does anything happen at all? Are there any .tff files in your folder at all?

I have a fonts folder saved on my SD card, then when I need a special font, I just copy and paste it to my pda's font folder. This way I don't waste my Ram.

Check out the freeware Font on Storage. It does exactly what the name implies...

I've added the majority of my fonts into my x51v and it took a whopping 50+ megs... I use it mainly for TextMaker and PlanMaker. I also use it to customize some of the display fonts in some programs. Hey, I still have 80+ megs left on my device. Quite spacious if you ask me. But then I'm very new to the PPC scene. Just migrated from Palm OS.
I just put my sd card into the desktop card reader and copy the fonts directly onto it. I then put it into my x51v and use Resco Explorer to copy all the fonts onto the device. No errors or anything. Everything's running fine so far.

Just copy them to \Windows\Fonts\ and soft-reset. Note that you might have problems if you put in a font that doesn't contain characters for a language that you use. For instance, my PocketPC is in Hebrew, and I've had issues (don't remember what) with adding fonts that don't have the Hebrew characters.
