RAM available as unused

On my X51V original A12 ROM with no programs running in the 'Running Program' tab, the Memory tab show 49.4 Mb of program memory with 27.3 Mb free (55%).

What is using the 22 Mb? I would imagine the WM5 takes up a good portion, what else? WiFi and BT are not activated. I do have Omega Battery Lite running in the backgroud but is not visible in the running program tab.

Since I've the Widcomm hack, does that eats up another 8 Mb with BT activated? At the rate the program memory keep decreasing, when would performance such as TCPMP suffers while outputting to BT headphones?

What can I do to remove unnecessary 'open' files in RAM to optimize performance without incurring hang/crashes?

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

About 28Mb free is normal with A12, I think, or 30Mb without the SD card.

Using bluetooth to run the headphones seems to tax the cpu a bit. Try using BT headphones and the wifi and it becomes hopeless. If I am using other apps apart from Media player or the core I use corded phones.

Some programs uses buffers, caches which are not cleared by program exit.
Clear your memory with 'Hibernate' or simply perform a softreset to see your free memory.
