Is it possible to put Windows CE 5.0 or XP Embedded on a Pocket pC

Xpe's footprint is still to big for pocket pcs, according to wikipedia.

As far as ce 5.0, idk, windows mobile is really an evolved version of ce, so it may be possible, but you would have to get a rom, and make sure all of the maufactuer's software would work on the new os. Wifi/bt drivers, etc.

Amd the screen lay out is totally differnet. but idk...

IF you want Windows XP, look into a UMPC. it would have to be completely re-written for a PPC. Teh RAM would also be an issue (footprint would not, you COULD install it on a MD or a LARGE CF/SD card) But without atleast 256mb RAM, preferably 512 or (idealy) 1024 (1gb), you're gonna be worthless.
