Cannot open/save attachments in Outlook

I just recently tried to open a word attachement and could not. I used to be able to-what caused this change? I also cannot save as. The drop down option is there but nothing happens when I select it. I'm fairly certain I've got my outlook settings correct. Any suggestions?

Try a restart if you haven't already. Other than than I don't know.

I'm using Outlook 2000 SP3
My AX is an x50v with WM2003SE Version 4.21 A05ROM
