Can i copy programes from main mem to sd?

Hi
Can I copy the extra programes I have installed from main memory to the SD card, will they run as fast as they would in the main memory?

I have just changed for a Ipaq 2210 the Axim seems slower any suggestions?

Yes, but u will have to uninstall and reinstall to the sd card. Use cabinstl to install cabe files to sd card, and in as when it says "install program to main mem" click no, and select sd.

If the axim is running slower, try a hard reset, and if this is an x51 upgrade to the latest rom, and realize that is a x51 the new wm5 os uses rom to store info and the os, instead of ram.

Rom saves battery life, but is also slower than ram. MS decision, not mine...

Its a 51v I collected last week, it looks like I need to reinstall programes to get them on the SD card.

You do need to reinstall them. However, with X51v which runs WM5, you won't need cabinstal: your machine will offer you the option of installing to SD card.

To speed up your Axim, try fixing your processor speed to 625 Mhz (Max). This setting is under Start Menu > Settings > System > Power > Processor Tab. The default is Auto, which I find makes my Axim sluggish. Keep in mind that this will shorten battery life slightly.
