My ram used to be in the low to mid 20's and I recently noticed that I am now in the mid teens. This is only since A12 but I reinstalled everything including a few new programs so I don't know if A12 or a program is at fault. Is there a way that I can view were all the ram is being distributed so I can track down the culperate?
thanks for oxios, I like it but anything to monitor so I can permanently fix the culperate?
Also, I think part of the problem may be SKtools or Tweaks2K2 and one of their freakin optimization tweaks that I set without completely understanding the consequences.
It would probably help if we knew what programs you have installed, especially things like today plugins, anything that might run in the background (eg. Pocket Plus or SPB Insight), etc.
Probably some of the new programs installed in your Program file directory.
Go to Programs\File Explorer\My Device\Program Files and see if your newest program installed there, then just cut and Paste to your SD|CF card and Delete old shortcut, and recreate a new Shortcut to that App :approve: :approve:
Also if in your using Internet Explorer(PIE) Clear history and Cache by bringing up PIE then click on Tools\options\memory\ clear history and Delete files:approve:

I think rstaurn has a good starting place. A lot of programs leave a trail in your program files in main memory, even if you install them elsewhere. Some also store data there. So, if you are using outlook or a plug-in, your data could be eating up space.

Good point. Since I don't run WM5, I frequently forget that it has a different memory setup. Thanks for setting me straight.

I think its all the perdy stuff. I had wisbar adv, adv desktop, pb, p+, pw & vista which were all sappin my performance so I am trying to figure out a happy median, so far desktop, p+, pw & vista are all on their way out but it really feels like adv is gonna get the hieve ho also, that will leave, pb and ilauncher (the p+ replacement)
Get rid of Advance Desktop, Pocket Plus, and Vista - PocketWeather takes about a meg by itself, ditto PocketBreeze... although I run the former as a tab in the latter. I keep WBA2, PocketBreeze, iLauncher, and PocketWeather and I have 28MB on startup. THe amount of space WBA2 will take also depends on the skin you're using - Expea2's not too heavy in terms of RAM usage, for example. Also make sure that you've killed the PocketPlus or WBA2 Task Management - if you have both running, they may cause conflicts as well as chewing up more RAM than necessary. Ditto iLauncher.
