Domain password

Hi I have a x50v with WM5 and have an issue connecting to network shares.
I have a domain but when I try to "open path" in file explorer or "map network drive" in resco explorer I get the prompt to enter username/password/domain and this does not accept the details (just prompts me again for the details.

I can ping the server by IP but not by name from the dell WLAN utility (not sure if this is related)

update:
The ping is unrelated as you have to enter a IP.
I can log on to exchange oma fine via a web page using the server name.

Can we assume that you have created a share on whatever machine you are trying to connect to? And that you have granted appropriate rights to the account you are trying to connect with: Remote access to the target machine, rights to the share?

Hm. Very strange. Slashes are the right-way round in DOMAIN\USERNAME ?

I have tried that way domain\user.
but you actually get the 3 boxes username\password\domain

i've noticed this problem too. i'm not sure what it is, but i don't think WM5 likes mounting windows shares.

though, i have had marginal success by using PIE to connect using the //*computername*/*sharename*/ system... brings up an explorer-like window for browsing... though this 'browser' will only let you copy files from remote shares, it's better than nothing.
