can't see the files
I looked into my Axim 30 and in the storage card but can't find the files you refer to. What do I do wrong?
Thanks,
Marty

Step One
-In the main device directory delete the file WMPInfo.xml
-Delete the \Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\ directory and all of the files in it including the WMDRM folder.
-Delete the \Music folder
Step Two
-Go to your storage card main directory and delete the file WMPInfo.xml
-Delete the folder \CF Card\MSMETADATA
-Delete the folder \CF Card\WMDRM
-Delete the folder \CF Card\Music
Step Three
-Repeat step two for any other storage cards.
Step Four
-Refresh devices in WMP and the storages card should show up in the left tab and in the sync window you can click “Next Device”
Thanks for everyone’s input to keep me motivated to try to fix this problem!

Bsod?
I haven't tried the fix but I haven't had the same kind of problem either.
When I transfer music from WMP11 on my Dell Dimension 8400 to my x51v I get the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) and when it comes back it says there is a problem with one of my drivers. I uninstalled and resintalled ActiveSync...I even had to format my hard drive so its basically a new install of WMP11 but I still get the BSOD.
Anybody have any hints?
If nothing else I will try the fix suggested....will I lose the licenses for the music I currently have on my Axim? (Sometimes it works....sometimes it doesn't..)

I'm going to have try this. I've always pulled the SD card from my Axim and used my card reader/writer to sync music with WMP11...

You may not have all the files listed depending on what type of licenses you have transferred, if any. The fixes basically lets you clean out transferred files from wmp10 and start fresh, so if you don’t have them all, don’t worry.

BSOD sounds serious. If you have reinstalled windows and are still having the same problem then it is most likely a problem on your devices. If you make a copy of the fix files on your PC before you delete them you can always restore them if it does not work. The files listed are your license and library files so your licensed music will not work if you permanently delete them.

The sync feature never worked for me in WMP11. About 50% of the time, the sync would fail after a few tracks with an error that it couldn't access the files. Sometimes it would recover when I reconnected, but most of the time the problem persisted.

I don't remember having to do anything out of the ordinary. I uninstalled WMP11 and then reinstalled WMP10 from an install I kept on my PC. Since then I tried WMP11 again and using the instructions Justice_AA posted, WMP11 and syncing to my Axim is working great.

I still cannot sync files to my axim with both WMP10 and WMP11. I synch about 25% of my library and then the rest doesn't sync and gets message on the side "error."
I did what you did. I got myself a little softwere that can modify playlists. I created dummy playlist with one song (that syncs); I added all my files to my microdrive; I used the special softwere to modify dummy playlist to include files that I added.
While most of the time I don't use syncing, it would be nice to have it working. So if anyone has a solution to unprotected mp3s failing to sync in both WMP10 and 11, please let me know.

Justice_AA, you're da mf man!!!! Got a huge road trip coming up and this was killin' me for months now. Now i can sync again. X51v WM 6.1 back in business baby. By the way, you don't have to delete the music folders, just the WMPInfo.xml/WMDRM files. Thanks again.
