My x50v is updated to A02, and seems to be running nearly fine. Only hacks I did were fake server and BT. (I say nearly, because I'm still wondering about a few things - I'll know more as time passes.)
ericwww, make sure flight mode is off (touch and hold antenna icon), then turn off both WiFi and BT off manually. This is what I did, and my WiFi seems to be working fine.

another question
After upgrade
I cannot connect the pda with my nokia n73 for file transfering
the build in BT software in wm5 seems to be defective
any solution?
after I do a hard reset and stay away from this 05 version
All the connection become normalized..............
I'm not sure what you're talking about. Latest version of widcomm is .50 and it has been (very) stable, and it's safe to say, the majority of it's users. The only connection I'm aware of that it has a problem with is ActiveSync because or RNDIS, and there's a workaround for that. This only happens with A12 and since X50-A02 is it's counterpart, I'm assuming that you encountered the RNDIS problem.
To answer your previous question, there's no solution for unreliable Obex file transfers using the microsoft stack. It's works with some devices, it doesn't work with others. It's just inferior compared to widcomm.

I 've tried that widcomm, seems to be stable for a few hour
but the system crash suddenly--> don't know if it is due to other program......
I do think that program is much better than the build in MS one
but is there any other alternative???
Back to the question
How to fix 'RNDIS problem' ???
Hi Eric,
There are links to the originml solution to RNDIS in this thread (see below). Malkavian pretty much summarized it beautifully in that thread. Note that RNDIS prob is mostly an ActiveSync connection problem.
I downloaded the X50 Dell AO2 a couple of days ago. I upgraded first with the old WM 5 for the X50 and then ran the A02 and it upgraded with no problems. I have since reloaded all the programs I use to use under 2003 SE. I seems to run everything OK but is seems slower than 2003 SE.
I saw here where Sprite backup would work but might cause a problem if you have Informant Installed. I do so what problems might I see if I upgrade my Sprite Backup?
I just went back a few pages to catch up on how shocked everyone is about the X50 ROM update. I must say, I am too. BUTTT!!!!!!!!, Rumor over the past few weeks says that Dell is developing a new PDA for the US market. Forgot where I saw this but it dawns on me that Dell did this to off set the bad press they had gotten so we would accept a new Dell. Anyone else think this is a viable thought process?

Yes I do. Well, but I hope it is not just for the US market because I'm still waiting for the German A02. I have flashed the English A02 now and I like it up to now. But I still would prefer a German upgrade.
In the original announcement Juraj wrote that the German and French upgrades are supposed to be released 2/21/07 but has edited it out.
It crossed my mind, too, that Dell finally issued this x50v-WM5 fix with the purpose of offsetting bad press in preparation for launching a new model. Time will tell . . .

guyz there will be no new pda from dell (last one was stopped..)
Update on the A02 from my perspective. It worked really well for 2 days and then it did a soft reset on it's own and stopped at the Windows Mobile window and would not go any further. It would not let me reset, taking the battery out and putting it back did not work; finally had to do a hard reset to get it to boot again. I had loaded PI07, Resco explorer, new Texas Holdem, Battery Bar from Omega, Pocket Weather, Microsoft Reader, Flex Wallet 06. Anything here that anyone see that could have caused the problem. I won't reload anything until I get some feedback. I hope everyone else has better luck. by the way, I loved the upgrade until it crashed. I have to believe one of these programs is the culprit.
