8GB Sandisk for TomTom maps, installation CAB files, Wikipedia, Music
some 4GB SD cards for movies and stuff

I have a Ratoc USB host card but most for experiments
I also have a CF to SD adapter - great for copying between SD cards

:-) Will

Do you routinely keep copies of CAB files for your programs on your Sandisk? If so, I'm curious as to why you do that?

I keep a backup executable of my Axim made by Spb Backup on my SD card in case I need to re-image while away from home - but I don't see why anyone would need to carry around all the CAB files with them instead of just one backup file.

Almost all devices posted here are mass storage.
Manufacturers of CF/SD peripheral devices should that a look at this thread.
It seems they have very few customers.
Maybe because they are VERY EXPENSIVEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!
Is it worth to have so high prices if you sell nothing?

Good point Afarre, do you happen to have any sort of list of available CF devices.

Search Expansys and eBay for "CF", almost everything possible is sold there.
You will get more than 200 pages at eBay!, :rolling:
better if you make a more restrictive search like "CF radio" :approve:

Thanks for the suggestion Afarre, I haven't really explored the possibilities of CF devices. I did have a look at cameras and phones but found them rather limited. I will have a look and see what is around. But as I said before and as you have pointed out, most things I have looked at are just too expensive for what they are.

I have a 8gb CF Seagate micro drive and a 512mb SD Sandisk card. I use the SD card for backing up my X51Vs 'My Documents' folder, 8 bible versions, over 300 ebooks, as well as some temporary pictures. Large files (both PPC related and PC related) I keep on my CF micro drive. These would be PDF, Excel, Word, Pictures, Movies, a folder containing the files I need to trouble shoot a PC. I use my X51V as a Pocket PC first and then as a PIM device. I construct and maintain lots of data on the run with my unit and sync that information back to my PC. As a plug my X51V is the best device of all of the 7 other Palm and Windows PDAs I have owned and used over the last 7 yeard (first one was the original Palm Pilot).

Just my 8GB MD in my CF slot. I hardly use my SD card but it is used for skip free music while walking. I use the tape method to remove my microdrive so it's actually easier to remove that then my SD card. I use a usb 2.0 reader to transfer.

I don't know how or why but lately my tests between power comsumtion between my SD card and CF MD, my microdrive lasts longer with CorePlayer's MD mode on. Weird.
