Active sync button disappeared on pda

Active sync button has disappeared on pda programs page start> programs>. how do i recover it? still on my computer though

i've found the location where the file should be, now i have to find a way to reproduce the link file...

the "programs" directory is /windows/startmenu/programs/

just need to find AS and create a dynamic link to it there.

ok, this is coming straight off my ax. soooo i can't garuntee success as i don't know what will and what won't work.

you'll need something that can change the extentions of files... like Resco file explorer (the MS version wont do it)

create a text file (.txt format) that contains "42#:MYSYNCAPP" (no quotes obviously), save as ActiveSync.txt in your documents folder. rename the extention to .lnk, and move to folder /windows/start menu/programs/

it SHOULD work. no garuntees. i'm using ROM A12, so unless yours is drastically different, it should be simmilar or the same... of course, i'd almost stake money on this solution if i knew you were on A12 with me.
