Dell to release patch for X50/X50V and WM5 soon!?

I called Dell out of warranty support today to ask if there are any updates regarding providing patches or updates for X50/X50V to run WM5 properly.
To my surprise, I was transferred to techincal department and was told that there will be a patch coming out around the week of 12/11/06 for X50/X50V.

After express my frustration with my X50 running WM5 upgrade which I bought from Dell earlier this year under the assumption that it will full support my X50,
the techician offers to replace my X50 with X50V even though it's already out of warranty for almost a full year.

Anyway, does anyone else has heard such news that a new update is coming out soon?

They've been saying this ("the WM5 patch will be released in 2-3 weeks") for a year...

The next patch (and probably last one for Windows Mobile 2003) will likely be to correct DST in the USA for 2007 and subsequent years.
