Daylight Saving time

Has anyone tried changing the registry for the new dates of Daylight Saving Time for 2007? http://support.microsoft.com/?id=923953 Perhaps I'm not reading it reading it right but the page says not to just edit the registry. It says to use the key info in a .inf file then a cab file. How does one go about that? Do you just open the cab file on the WM5 pda?
Thanks.

Havent tried it, hope somebody makes it easier, like makes it into a cab file or something, or makes a program to do it.

isn't it supposed to be a .inf file in the cab?

The inf file posted on my MS site is used to build the cab. Any cab file requires an inf to build. The registry setting section of an inf file is populated on the device when the cab is installed.

In Canada and US, legislations made the decision to change the DST start and end dates from 2007. That's why we need this patch for North America.

Right. I had not built a .cab file before so I did a little looking around on the web and found a llittle program that will build it for you. It made a cab file but when I look inside it, it is still got the .inf inside. I will play with it a little more and see what happens. It did compress it nicely though.

Where did you get the dates from?
Thanks to our wonder politicians, we were left with 12 days between the descision to have DST and the actaul date of implementation.

I was wondering where the dats came from so I Could make a patch for Australia.

Cheers,
Jez
