I can't tell which one I purchased. I didn't have any time to do any research or ask any questions, since I only noticed it when there was only about 30 minutes remaining in the auction. Anyway, if someone can help me figure out which model I have, I would greatly appreciate it. Here is a link to the auction:

Maybe; I'm still learning. It certainly won't be by the end of this year, though; I still have Christmas shopping to do, and that comes first.
My concern is that it's the X51 with the 416 MHz processor and no wifi; I really need the wifi. I know the description says that it has it, but it also doesn't come with a cradle; the mid-level Axim comes with the cradle.
Or maybe I'm worried for nothin'. Was it a pretty good price? From what I could tell they were going for around $200, but I didn't have much time to look.
What's in the Box
Hardware
PDA
Sync option: USB Cradle (std X51 520MHz & X51v 624MHz) or USB sync cable (std X51 416 MHz)
Adapter connector
Standard carrying case
Hard copy documentation
AC adapter & localized power cord
Standard battery (1100 mAh)
did you figure out if you have wifi yet? if not go to start>settings>connections>WLAN settings. If there is no WLAN settings, then you got scammed and have the low 416.
It was shipped this afternoon; I tried to contact the seller by email and by phone, but he never replied. The sooner I find out the sooner I can try to get my money back if it indeed doesn't have wifi. That's why I was hoping somebody more knowledgeable could shed some light on this. With the information given, I am beginning to think that everything thus far is truly speculation (except for the fact that it is decidedly not the X51v; good catch).
Received the Axim today; it looks like it's the 516 MHz version. It has a wifi button on the side. So far I think it works, but I'm not sure; the battery was dead, and I'm charging it with the sync cable (I hope; it didn't come with the AC adapter). The power button is solid amber, so according to the manual it's charging.
Yes, it should charge from USB when switched off, as long as you use a high-power USB port (it's charging when orange light on). Just bear in mind charging will be slower as USB doesn't provide much power :)
Once it's charged go to Start -> Settings -> System tab -> System information. It will tell you the model #, wifi availability and processor speed. You don't have to wait until its fully charged - look it up & turn it off.
As for the USB - there was a topic here on "lethal" usb chargers - apparently Axim can draw too much energy from USB port while charging, and can fry PC's mobo. It seems you're safer using it with a powered hub (although I used mine direct to laptop via cable and so far no problems).
Dadgummit, I checked the system information and its the 416 MHz processor without wifi. I guess I'll be trying to get my money back. Thanks for all the help, and hopefully I'll be back soon!
