Gah! X50v/WM5 Upgrade Issues

Okay. So far the upgrade has done more or less smoothly, including the tweaks and such. However, there are two things bugging me:

1) ActiveSync won't. Sync, that is. The Ax connects to AS just fine, but the sync process fails. On the Ax, it times out. On the PC, it just keeps trying indefinitely. This is a problem obviously, both because of the lack of synchronisation, and because I can't get to AS settings until it has performed a synchronisation.

2) Where the heck did I change the settings to allow installation of applications to something other than the default location? It's shaded out in the add/remove programs folder and I'm sure I found a tweak or setting somewhere to change it.

I'm not sure about 1) but try uncradling, soft-resetting the Axim, then restarting your PC. Once everything is loaded connect them up again.

2) With WM5 you should be given the option to change the install path on the Axim's screen whenever you install something.

1) Tried that, no luck. AS still times out on the Ax and keeps trying on the PC.

2) Ah, it seems as though some of them only install to main memory automatically -- Tweaks2k2 and Resco Explorer both did. However, when I installed Chronos it asked me. This must be one of the differences between WM2003 and WM5.
