Temp / Cookie delete

On a X51V is there a method to clean out the temp file and/or saved cookies to speed performance, like you do on a Windows pc or is this not a factor or posssible?

You might consider SK Tools. It has a very effective clean tool along with a number of other excellent utilities for the PPC.

both memmaid and sktools work great. Memmaid has a nicer interface for the 'non-techie' user.

jpp - all programs mentioned here work wonders. You can do a basic clean of the temp folders and cookies manually if you'd like. This won't clean out any of the index files, but will get all the saved data from visited web pages, all cookie files, etc. . .

File Explorer / My Device / Windows / Profiles / *your profile folder* / cookies - File "index" will remain.

File Explorer / My Device / Windows / Profiles / *your profile folder* / Temporary Internet Files / Content.IE5 / here you'll find various files with different labes, ARZF420X for example, just open them up and start cleaning away. File "desktop" will remain in each folder.

Like I said, this is just really basic stuff here, but it can help.

I strongly agree with all above though, MemMaid of SKTools are great.

Supercleaner

G'day,
I've SKTools but before that I found a simple specialised utility called "Supercleaner". Selectable to clean any of temp dir, history, cache, cookies, attachments or large emails. Freeware by Stepan Batek. See http://www.pocketpcfreeware.com/en/index.php?soft=1007
It's a simple utility that just does a cleanup when you initiate it. SKTools and Memaid have more and more varied functionality but if you just want a quick clean utility.

Cheers

If you are only talking about files in Internet Explorer, you can just go into Tools - Options to clean out your temp files, cookies and history. For more thorough cleaning, the above suggestions of SKTools and MemMaid are great!
