help i m losing RAM by the minute

i found that if i leave my x51v on for long periods, it slowly loses its RAM

and this lost RAM can never be recovered, whether with memmaid or sktools.
from memmaid, i can see that a services.exe has become bigger: from about 650k at start up to 4.5MB 24h later. that would mean that my RAM should have gone down by 4MB. but the crazy thing is that after 24h, my RAM is down to 3MB!!! a soft-reset gives me about 21MB. my god where has the 18MB gone off to?

programs i have running includes:

spb pocket+
spb diary
spb weather
spb time
wisbar adv 2.7
sbsh clock
cardexportII 2.19
widcomm BT stack + the wifi/bt switch

other stuff are installed in the x51v:

windows live messenger beta
tcpmp
olivetree bible
esword
agile
ce-star
netfront
memmaid
noteM
sktools

whats going on?

Something is memory leaking, obviously. It's something you have running all the time. I would start by killing one of the SPB products, then seeing if it continues, repeating until you hit the one that is the culprit.

On my X50v i'll see about a 2-3Meg memory leak over 24 hours. Soft reset recovers it all. In my case it is more likely a failure of the programs to release all memory when I exit them. As I said, soft reset recovers it nicely.

Why don't you like to soft reset? It's akin to rebooting your PC, which is harmless. I soft reset at least once a day not because there is something wrong, but because I like a fast system.

In addition to MemMaid, you can also try SKTools, which has a FreeUp RAM feature.

I also soft reset, sometimes several times a day. I keep track of free memory and if I see it has become diminished I soft reset.

He HAS been using SKTools to no avail - but I'd have to say, based on what he's listed, that SPB Diary and Pocket+ are probably the RAM-eating culprits, especially as the older versions of Pocket+ had a nasty RAM consumption problem which more recent versions are supposed to have fixed, IIRC.
