X50 Power On/Off button keeps blinking

On my X50 the power on/off button keeps blinking even after turning the device off. If I take the battery out, it stops blinking. The moment I put the battery, it starts blinking even before turning on the device.

The battery is 100% charged and the battery doors are properly closed. There are no notification displayed on the screen with any warning. I also did a soft reset but the problem still remains.

Can someone please give me some advice on resolving this issue?

Make a full backup, and try a hard reset. Try the dell problem solver utility program that came on your getting started Wm 2003SE cd. Maybe take the battery out for a little while and put it back in. Did you get another battery then the original one it came from?

Check for any alarms or notifications you may have set. MemMaid, SKTools or another utility may be able to clear the notifications queue for you.

When mine blinks it means there is an appointment that is due.
