PExel causes sync problems on x50v/WM5

Ever since I upgraded my x50v to WM5 A01 (which is working pretty well by the way), every Excel file I edit or create on x50v prevents syncing of all My Documents to PC (the message "Needs Attention" displays beside "Files" in ActiveSync). When I called Dell about it (without telling them I was on WM5) they said to hard reset, which I did. But the problem still remains.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone know what's going on, and (best of all) does anyone know how to fix this?

PC = WinXP-PRO SP2; MSOffice 2003 SP2; ActiveSync 4.2

I chatted with Dell, and we apparently worked it out. I had created a custom pocket excel template. Disabling that template has appeared to fix the problem.

(BTW, it's interesting to me that I chose to post my question here before contacting Dell about it.)
