How do i move some of my programs from main memory to the BIS?
Do i just drag and drop folders into the BIS folder?
for example:
when i click "my windows mobile device" there are folders for BIS, my documents, program files etc.
If i drag "my pictures" folder into the BIS folder, will it cause any problems?
Say i want to move Resco file explorer which is located in program files folder, to the BIS, do i just drag and drop that folder into BIS or uninstall then reinstall?
I ask because I have a problem with coreplayer. It was originally stored in a SD card, but i uninstalled it and reinstalled to the BIS.
Now there are coreplayer icons on my axim i can't get rid of. When i click on the old cp player icon my axim can't find it. Then when i click programs ---> coreplayer it works. When i try to remove the icon from the drop down menu, it says "item cannot be removed".
It's definitely better to uninstall and reinstall programs. There may be .dll's that also need to be moved that you are unaware of. However, you should be able to easily move regular folders and files (e.g., documents, ebooks, music and video files, etc.).
To get rid of dead links, just use File Explorer and find where the shortcuts are located to manually delete. For example, Windows - Start Menu - Programs. However, if you are only talking about the drop down menu from Start, you will need to use a utility such as SKTools or MemMaid to delete.
But keep in mind some programs HAVE to be installed in main memory (dont knwo why, but manual says so, MS Voice Command is first one I think of that says this)

Good point, Ashton. Today plugins or things that need to load quickly also tend to do better in Main Memory, although there are an increasing number that do just as well in BIS now.
thanks all, i freed up some memory in the main by uninstall reinstall programs into BIS. I will try those other programs thanks.
Right now in MAIN MEMORY it says: Storage (9.57MB Free) and Program (8.96 MB Free) The needle is in the middle.
In Bis i have 81.49 MB Free.
In main memory the programs i have are Wisbar, Netfront, pocketplus, resco, contactbreeze, wmp, and odyssey client (What is this program for, i never installed it, it came with the ppc).
Do i have enough main memory for the device?

I install everything to BIS. See my website for what is installed. The individual applications will install the parts of themselves that need to be in main into main anyway.
I show 34.7MB Main free (26.0 Program & 8.7 Storage) and 36.3 BIS free currently.

Thats a nice pda. just what i'm aiming for. nice and organized. which is why i'm trying to move stuff around and tidy things up a bit.
btw, every theme i install does not have the new little icon at the top left hand corner. Like the windows logo or whatever. Mine just says desktop.
And how do you get icons to appear at the bottom right taskbar? Mine just has the bluetooth and internet status icons. Plus the connection icon whenever i sync it.
iLauncher will run as a tab within PocketBreeze or stand-alone, as a Today plug-in in it's own right, or in parallel, with both PocketBreeze and iLauncher as Today plug-ins.
