Question Anyone ordered Axim on December 28th - what's your status?

I'm a returning Dell customer; I ordered my X51v on Thursday, December the 28th and as of today, January the 2nd, my order is still "On Hold"!...
So I was wondering if anyone else ordered from US or Canada exactly on December the 28th (and not the 27th or 29th) — what's the current status of your order?
I mean, is it normal that my order is still "ON HOLD"? Please tell me it's normal?
The customer support did tell me that it's ok, because of the Holidays and all... But I'm getting very impatient and just wanted a confirmation that I will get my Axim soon!

I hope you did not pay $499 for your x51v! I just bought one via Craigslist, sealed in the box, for $300 with 1GB SD card. X51v was on sale for $233 around end of Nov. Many people bought at that time and are selling now for $50 profit.

I ordered my X51v brand new from Dell for $369 CAD and am satisfied with that, if only it arrived sooner... Because this "ON HOLD" thing is really pissing me off.
Tomorrow will be a regular business day and I'm thinking that if by tomorrow evening my order is still "On Hold" or still hasn't reached even the "Pre-Production" status - then I will probably just cancel it all together and buy from craigslist instead (which I'm really hoping that it won't come to that)!

I hope mine isn't on hold anytime soon, I just ordered mine yesterday. Expected shipping date is January 8th.

I dont know about the status stuff but I know in the past sometimes I have had things "on hold" that were shipped but at the same time I had some major issues with them and orders in Nov but I would get them on the phone if it hasn't changed. it can't hurt anything to call and check. Good luck!!

my experience with Dell was their their "status" comments were generally behind the actual process.

Well that's the thing - I've called them about 4-5 times already and they all tell me that everything looks ok, it's just because of the holidays...

Dell isn't that quick on orders...plus it was a major holiday weekend...it may take a week or so before any confirmed update. :rolling:

I suggest you call them.. I'm from canada as well and a few months ago when i tried to order it from dell i waited 1 week and there was no progress. When i called to cancel it, the guy on the phone told me it has already been cancelled. He wasn't very nice about it as well. It sounded like he was doing something else in the background and just tried to get rid of me without giving any reasons.

I was so upset. Anyhow i got one off ebay for even cheaper.

I really hate Dell's service.

Well, I know a few businesses around here that will not be back in full swing till tomorrow (Wednesday) yet.

It is just the mad rush of orders they have gotten and it does take them awhile

Its hard to wait, but thats what goes with ordering over the holidays I guess
