I just got a new computer and i don't have any microsoft works program with it.
On my x50v i have pocket informant installed and before with my old comp i had office works on my desktop. With the calender program i could sync it with my axim and have all my appointments etc.
Is there a free program like this for my desktop where i can sync it with my axim like before?
I installed the free openoffice suite but it does not come with a calender program.
OMG NEVER under ANY circumstance discard or lose those CDs
Well, unfortunately for some, it's not a matter of losing or discarding the CD, it's a matter of never having received one at all if they acquired their Axims used.
actually, I wonder if the new calendaring (free) apps that come with vista will support syncing
Things that make you go hmmmm...

I checked everywhere that cd could have been, but i can't find it. I'm usually very careful with all the cds that come with my hardware. Store them in a good place, i even have cds for hardware i no longer have. I did buy this new from Dell.
I have the works cd, it is OEM from manufacturer i bought the comp from. I don;t have the cd key, they just supplied the cd's. This computer was bought years ago.
It was microsoft works 2002 i was using. Should i just upgrade and get the new Works 8 suite?
:D I found it i found it. I can't believe where i left, but anyways lesson learned.
Now the cd says it installs outlook 2002 and activesync 3.7.1
Ialready downloaded activesync 4.2, do i need to uninstall this, load the cd, then reinstall 4.2?
Or will the disc skip the activesync install if it sees i already have 4.2 installed?

You should be able to choose to install only Outlook. If 4.2 works for you, just leave it installed.
I just put the cd in and it keeps opening a notepad file. wtf????
I can't install anything.
Here is a pic of what i get when i put the cd in http://i122.photobucket.com/albums/o...lipboard01.jpg
