Can't create recognized partnership

When I cradle the X51V in my home computer it creates a partnership. I take the X51V to work and cradle it there to my work computer and it asks for a new relationship name. I give it a unique name. The partnerships are the same. But then when I take it back home again and cradle the same X51V in my home computer, it renames my X51V by adding a "1" to the name and asks for a new relationship name. I'm using Activesync 4.2, Windows XP Sp2 on both computers.

Anyone have a clue what's going on?

I have looked on the forums but have found no answers. Don't have a problem connecting, but getting too many partners.
