Problem syncing notes - "attention required"

hi, whenever i sync my axim x51v with activesync 4.2 (using ms office 2003), everything syncs except notes. next to notes, it says "attention required". i save my notes to the sd card, but that should not be the problem (before i reformatted my hard drive recently, i never had this issue - and i always saved the notes to the sd card)...

it gets weirder... when i first start syncing, i get an error message that reads: "Synchronization cannot be started because you are not able to log on to the network and access information. Restart your desktop computer and synchronize again. If the problem persists, contact your network administrator."
However, after i click OK to that message, it starts syncing everything (except notes)...

i have uninstalled and reinstalled everything... deleted the mobile device, etc... and nothing seems to help... any advice?

this is a really weird problem... i searched the forums and htere are similar problems, but no solutions posted have worked for me... anyone?

I had the identical problem and it only happened after i too reformatted my desktop hard drive.

In the end I deleted all profiles from Activesync and did a hard-reset on the axim. Of course I backed up all the PIM data I needed. It seemed to work. New profile and everything syncs again.
