I use WPA-PSK/TKIP just fine with my network without Odyssey, but then I use Wi-Fi Companion. Getting a connection to "take" can sometimes be squirrely, but it does work for me.

The Axim X50/X51v does not support anything higher than WEP.

Odyssey does. The new Odyssey even runs WPA2 that DD-WRT v23 SP2 supports.

I have an X50v running WM2003SE that connects just fine to my WPA-PSK-secured network without using Odyssey.
