I am having trouble "skinning" Windows Media Player 10 Mobile. Can someone tell me how to get WM10 to recognize other skins. I thought I was putting the skins in the correct place (My Documents), but no go.

Thanks - I'm sorry - I did try putting them in the Windows Media Player directory. However, I don't have a SKINS directory so I just put the WMP directory with the default skin. When I bring up WM10 , and only the default skin is available.
I just skinned my media player yesterday so maybe I can help. These are the instructions that I found for loading the skin and they worked great.
-Connect your Pocket PC to your desktop PC via ActiveSync.
-Copy the folder to "\Program Files\Windows Media Player" on your Pocket PC.
-Run Windows Media Player on your Pocket PC.
-Go to the skin chooser menu (Menu --> Options... --> Skins), and select the skin.
-Click "OK" and restart Windows Media Player.
Hope that helps. Good luck.

Hi,
Where did you get your skins? I just noticed that the one's I downloaded are for WMP7. I wonder if that is the problem.
I purchased mine actually. They were $1.99 each at Handango. I have OrangeGlass VGA and Tweak Windows Media Player Skin. There is a picture of what the OrangeGlass looks like in MyPDA. It blows the standard look of WMP away. Also, check out Solsie's web page for Themes and Skins. That's a great resource for all thing handheld.

Actually, the skins don't have to be within the WMP folder. You can put them everywhere. I save them on my storage card to save RAM. Most of the time, user run in to trouble just simply they use the skins that are not WMP10 compatible. Especially those are downloaded from Microsoft.
You might want to try these free skins HERE!
