What folder should MP3s be placed?

I'm looking to put MP3s on a 2GB SD card in my X51V. What is the best folder to place them, so they show up in "My Music" area of the Library in WM10 Mobile???

I know I could just click on "Update Library", but then it adds about 100 files of sound effects that I then have to delete one by one.

I run an X50v w/ 2003SE so I don't know if this will apply or not -- But delete the "ignore_my_docs" file, make a directory called "My Documents" and another sub-directory "My Music" in there.

Since I don't use WM, this isn't an issue for me. I keep all my MP3's in a \MP3 folder on my CF.

Again, since I'm not running WM5, I am really not sure if this applies at all.

Maybe someone could correct me?

Also, check out this tutorial on placing mp3s and other media onto your axim. You can access it and other tutorials by going to the top of the page and finding Resources, then Tutorials.

I looked for the files that Xanlexian mentioned, but I'm guessing WM5 is way different than his OS, as I could not find them.

I then went to the tutorial that stevenator65 mentioned. In "My Computer" on my PC desktop I do have "Mobile Device". Under that, I have a slightly different titled folder than the tutorial mentions..."My Windows Mobile-Based Device", with a bunch of folders within (Databases, Application Data, My Documents, Program Files, SD Card, etc.).

I tried to copy the MP3s to various folders on both the PPC and the SD card. I copied to "Mobile Device", "My Documents", "SD Card", and the "My Music" folder on the SD card, and although they appear on both the file tree on the PC and within the PPC File Explorer, Windows Media Player Mobile 10 does not find them.

I can play the files if I click on them from the File Explorer, but I'd like to store them in a location that Media Player will find.

Any thoughts?

The media player has a library feature which will search for music on the unit, SD and CF cards.

My way:

-Use GSPlayer / Coreplayer / Mortplayer to play MP3s. They handles MP3s like Winamp does (add files from location).
-Use a card reader (You'll soon be tired of AS's slowness)
-I put them in CF Card\Music\, and then add the entire folder into GS/Core/Mort.

This is much easier than to fiddle with WMP, the reason I don't use it.
