Question Axim X50v Help Freeing Memory.

I have got my Axim X50V working now with WM5 A02, it runs pretty good but sometimes gets stuck thinking or is very slow, even I set it up to maximum performance in the processor (624 Mhz). It has got only tow software installed in the memory devise: battery pack and running voice the others software and applications are installed in the SD memory.

The memory setting shows, after a soft reset (without any application running):

Storage
Total: 90.00 MB
In use: 14.71 MB
Free: 75.39 MB

Program
Total: 49.29 MB
In use: 25.71 MB
Free: 23.58 MB

Please, Somebody could tell me how to get more memory free in the program’s memory for WM5. Because I read some last posters in this forum but they are for WM2003.

Thanks

The stats you quote are pretty good, why don't you upgrade your rom version? unless you use a different app to close programs ultimately everything you open is still in rom/ram and taking up memory, when you hit close it does'nt realy close, program is still running in background. Third party apps will close programs you use

he has upgraded ROM version, the only way you can get more memory is by physically upgrading the memory to 128 using PPCTechs... aside from that you can just go back to W2K3SE and have about 40MBs using SKTools

Hi,

I got 28+ after soft reset and normally after several programs used is around 27-28 Mb, I've installed a lot of programs mostly on my SD card and some on the Axim, I removed the bluetooth BTTray.lnk, wireless icon WirelessIcon.lnk, SplashV.lnk and Poutlook.lnk from startup
