BSOD on ActiveSync install - HELP!

Just got my Axim X51 yesterday. Went to install ActiveSync 4.0 disk today and I keep getting BSOD near the end of the installation process. BSOD only flashes for a split second so I can't see what it says.

I tried 4.0, 4.2, and 4.5 Beta. BSOD each time. And it won't install in safe mode. Am running Windows XP w/ SP2.


Searched around but can't find answers. I'm soooo frustrated, can anyone please help?!?!

do you have another computer you can try?
I've installed active sync to 4 different computers (home and work) without issues...
So there are couple of things that I can think of are:
1..software conflict e.g. anti-virus or firewall or some unusual software that people don't install.
2..issue with your RAM.

I've run Memtest, etc....no RAM problems.

Well, I have Vista on another hard drive I can try I suppose......
